DressesOnline.com : buy glamorous dresses online
Summer bridal, evening, and formal wear occassion gowns at wholesale prices.
DressesOnline.com is a Web retailer of fine formal, bridal, and special occasion dresses. Metrofashion.com spoke with Mr. Emilio Bole of DressesOnline.com about the nuances of selling fine apparel through the flat surface of the Web.

Metrofashion: What are some of the challenges of selling apparel online?
Mr. Bole: "Buying formal gowns direct online is a very personal experience. Customers communicate with you through order forms and emails about critical details like color appearance, embroidery and stitching, fabric textures, and of course, body fitting and payment process. It is important to get the most information as conveniently as possible. Often customers are so excited to make their orders online, they send emails with insufficient information to process the order correctly. We strongly advise customers to take the time to identify all of the details neccessary to make an accurate purchase. Another very important feature is to make the website as easy to navigate as possible."

Metrofashion: What have you done to make your online storefront special?
Mr. Bole: "We present the visitor with large, crisp images as quickly as possible, and minimize the visual distractions on the page such as lots of text. With formal fashion, customers want to be able to visualize the apparel, so we provide them with clickthrough to larger, close-up views, as well as detail views of the back of the dress. We also strive to make our pictures are attractive and representative of the designs are possible so the customer can choose quickly and confidently."

Metrofashion: So what's in store for Summer 2000?!
Mr. Bole: "Our online showroom features looks for social occassions, cruise vacations, and the active summer bridal season. We have also added some casual, dressy apparel to give our customers more selection. Our designs feature Italian satin fabrics and exquisite taffeta skirts. Often, the top will have fine re-embroidery or boning. Our designs blend the traditional looks with modern details. Gowns are made to order, so we work with each customer to ensure their satisfaction."
