| Whose Smiling Now?!
(1999-2000) |
Special
Story: Elsa Benitez rules with Elle Italia
Elsa Benitez looks natural and happy on the cover of Elle Italia December
1999, a huge issue with 100s of pages of fashion and style articles.
While Elsa has not been seen on American magazine covers recently (most
American fashion magazines have been using classic
80s faces for the Year
2000 winter issues), she is a Star Model on the Elle
Magazine website.
The photography is by Russell James, and the fashion is vintage Gianni
Versace. Italian women love to highlights their tummies, and this angelic
top is no exception. Has Elsa had a haircut? Well, we'll have to tune in
for more Elsa sightings to know for sure.
March
2000: Elsa Benitez appeared on the cover of Self
Magazine (February 2000 Issue),
from Conde Nast Publications. Elsa has appeared on the cover of Self
Magazine in the past. In this picture, she brightens up the coming Spring
2000 season with a sparkling smile highlighting a sea green spring dress
from Ralph
Lauren Black Label.
You can also catch Elsa in the new Salvatorre
Ferragamo print advertising campaign, and ongoing as the St.John spokesmodel.
And if you look around in the local mall, you'll probably catch Elsa's smiling
face in the front display of an eyeglasses boutique!

British
Vogue Travel Team
Sun-drenched Elsa Benitez
sets the summer tone!
With
her sun-drenched smile and bronzed skin, Elsa Benitez, the red-hot Mexican
supermodel now on the Vogue
Britain traveling team, can transform even the strangest concoction
of a bathing suit into a stunning statement.
We can only hope that her deals with Nine
West, Walmart,
and other big-name retail advertisers will keep her in strappy sandals and
out of the winter boots. And we can always look forward to fall, when we'll
see Elsa in sweaters and cordoroy coats, and sharp
city suits that define the modern Western woman.

Vogue
Paris Glamour
A visually striking layout with Elsa Benitez appears in Vogue Paris
Glamour Issue
December 1998/January 1999. The series shows Elsa
Benitez in a number of experimental photographic poses, with distorted
effects.
Some of the images: Elsa lying face up on a cardigram output, Elsa blurred
into a kaleidescope image, and Elsa's perfect face with Jackie
Onassis hairdo cut-up as in a carnival prank mirror.
All of the images are dreamy and distant, giving the impression of a goddess
drifting through transformational stages. One of the best fashion peices
in years. |
