Estrella Archs and Lindsey Lohan used a hot pink wrap cocktail
dress for shock effect. Not to be outdone, Alexandre Herchcovitch
created a one piece metallic bubblegum mini dress with science fiction
overtones. Alexandre Herchcovitch Spring 2010 Collection was literally
bathed in pink light for a carnival feel.

Holiday 2009 is Demure Chic
After years
of flamboyant winter fashion and then a sobre 2008 season, holiday
evening gowns have returned to classic
shapes for 2009.

2007 Los Angeles Fashion Week
While social calendars are thinner this year, choosing the right dress
for Holiday will be even more important. At the recent Ruznak
Evening of Luxury at Universal Studios for LA Fashion Week, guests
were dressed smartly with an eye to monotone palettes and demure necklines.
Evening dresses in one
shoulder styles still take center stage, in a long run that started
in January with the U.S. Presidential Inaugural balls. Joining that
trend are ribbon bows and grecian collars, mostly in standard colors
like black,
royal
blue and crimson,
with rich purple
shades left over from Fall 2009.
The neckline or
upper bodice area is adorned with sparkling necklaces or jeweled embellishments.
Simple chic looks have evolved into pleated fronts, gathered busts,
and belted waistlines. Call it the intersection of party styles with
formal dresses; in any case, retailers are relieved to see very sellable
trends from the runways just in time for the last big party season
until March. |

Everyone Gets into the Fashion Act BoxEight Productions
staged its behind-the-scenes version of Fashion Week Spring
Summer 2010 during the weekend of October 23-25, with designers,
stylists, and photographers building unique editorial sets and
shooting fashion spreads in an open viewing. Resulting images
from the BoxEight Spring 2010 shoots will appear in the November
Issue of Flaunt Magazine in what could be an emerging
trend in fashion media/production collaboration.

Angeles, Sep 2009- French Fashion Designer Lloyd Klein has been
working with singer Natalie Cole for the last year creating
original gowns for her performances. The Iconic and “Unforgetable”
performer, Natalie Cole was seen last spring on the Grammys
red carpet wearing a “Koi” inspired Tangerine colored Lloyd
Klein gown to receive her latest Grammy Awards. Recently, she
wore a Lloyd Klein liquid gold satin cocktail dress for her
live performance on American Idol.

The singer, who recently underwent a successful kidney transplant,
is back on the road again and is the picture of health and glamour.
On September 9, 2009, Ms. Cole takes the Hollywood Bowl by storm
kicking off her multi-city tour.
She has commissioned two outfits from couturier Lloyd Klein
for this exciting comeback tour. The first is a Deep Purple
Silk Charmeuse floor-length evening gown accented with Silk
Chiffon and highlighted with a luxe suite of embroidered ruby
red, purple and black Swarovksky crystals. The second look is
a turquoise and teal cocktail ensemble with a separate charmeuse
bustier, matching draped sash style belt and an asymmetrical
hemline skirt. |
