Luscious Spring and Summer 2001
Sporty, sexy, totally wearable Leather, Denim, Terry, and Perforated Suede
Since the release of its first collection in 1996, Luscious has celebrated the many facets of raucous femininity and elegant playfulness. Cutting-edge customized fabrics take shape in classic and vintage styles for a new aesthetic of streetwise chic. Designer Rebecca Ford's innovative style has earned Luscious one of the highest accolades in Quebec fashion, the Marie Soleil Tougas Award for best young designer/newcomer of the year for 2000, presented at the 10th annual Griffe d'Or. The award was renamed in honour of marie Soleil, one of Quebec's most revered actresses/socialites and the original host of the Grif d'Or, following her tragic death in a plane crash with her lover. Luscious Spring and Summer 2001 collections recreate the hippy dreamy rockstar glamour girl in every free-styling woman. In the collision of contradiction, retro crashes with street styling. The result: urban bohemianism classic 70s glam you can slide into. Leather warm-up pants with draw-string waist or damaged worn-in denim raunched up with bolero accents can be worn with a terry off-the-shoulder top or a sheer, feminine blouse. Risk exposure in a leather halter-top with perforated suede pants that fit like a racning glove. Indulge yourself with coordinates cut from luxurious customized fabrics that envelop you in comfort and flatter every curve.

Luscious Spring and Summer 2001
For Spring and Summer 2001, Lucsious presents the coherence of contradiction in soft fabrics, strong lines and an earthy palette. Sporty, sexy, totally wearable, the Spring 2001 line introduces Leather, Denim, Terry, and Perforated Suede groups. Edgy, destroyed, worn-in, curve-hugging Denim tears at the traditional elegance of haute couture. Stretch out in the sex kitten comfort of Terry's casual glam. Built for speed, Perforated Suede hugs every curve. The revelations of Peek-a-boo perforated suede and windows are kept in check by zippers and clean, geometric lings.
Luscious Summer 2001 collection reveals the softer, feminine side of Luscious with the Rubix, Jewel and Mica Metal groups in Spring's complimentary colours. The urban fierceness of the glam girl intersects with hippy styling and ladylike elegance in the printed pyschedelia of geometric Rubix. Gathered sleeves and a draped neckline accentuate the fluid softness of Jewel's clinging, patterned fabric. Shimmer in the come-hither sheerness of open-backeed Mica Metal. Transparent tops and skirts tease with panels of delicately-placed woven jewelry. Luscious is available in discerning boutiques and small upscale chains throughout Canada and the USA, in England. Ireland, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, and New Zealand and Japan. For more information regarding Luscious, send email to luscious@metrofashion.com.
