RJsMensWear.com : smart, modern business casual attire
Fashionable men's apparel at an affordable cost.
RJsMensWear.com is an Internet retailer providing premium, customized menswear, including fine American and Italian sport coats, shirts, slacks, and accessories. RJ's Menswear provides personal shopper services for the fashion-smart menswear customer, including a personal profile for fit and style preferences. Metrofashion.com spoke with Mr. Ron Redfern of RJsMensWear.com about the challenges of turning male clothes buyers into fashion-conscious shoppers.
Metrofashion: Over the last few years, men's fashion choices for social and business casual wardrobes have increased substantially. Not only are more men wearing slacks and polo shirts during the business day, but many are looking for dressy combinations that can carry over to their evening events as well. How do you go about finding the right mix of styles and options for your clients?
Mr. Redfern: "RJ's Menswear has a proven history of personal shopper consultation. We attend major fashion industry events like the apparel marts and the international runway shows, and we thoroughly research the garment makers we consider for our selection. Primarily, our store stocks smaller high-quality manufacturers and designers who are not widely distributed, ensuring the customer that your wardrobe through RJ's Menswear will be classic and distinguished. We concentrate on the basics of the men's wardrobe, namely the wool blend sportcoat in two-button and three-button styles, business casual slacks in gabardines and twills, long-sleeve cotton and silk shirts and turtlenecks, and accessories. Our basic color palette ranges from black and gray to checkered patterns to olive. Basics are accented with burgundy, gold, and platinum jacquard neckties and brown and black belts."
Metrofashion: Who are your primary designers?
Mr. Redfern: "For sport jackets, we stock Warren Sewell, a fashion house committed to producing the finest quality garments with superior grade fiber. For example, our Checked Window Pane Sport Coat is 100% lambs wool which guarantees a soft hand and a look that is outstanding. Another premium jacket is our Black and Taupe Silk Sport Coat, which is 44% super 100's wool and 56% silk; the tight twist of the wool with the additional silk makes this jacket super smooth and has the drape you expect from silk. Also of note is our unique Tobacco Plaid Silk Sport Coat, perfect for business casual and the style can easily fit in a wardrobe that is more traditional."

"Our slacks maker is Gianni Manzoni, a fashion house that produces immaculate Italian trousers. For example, our Super 100's Sand Gabardine Slacks feature lining to the knee, 3 reverse pleats, 2 welted pockets and craftsmanship that is unmatched. Slacks are shipped to the customer with an unfinished leg opening so they can be custom fit to meet your personal standards for drape and break. Remember, our first and highest priority is to custom develop your wardrobe and make you look like a million bucks. Another pair of slacks of note is the Super 100's Charcoal Gabardine Slacks, again shipped open leg for personal custom fitting."
Metrofashion: So how can the Internet men's shopper get the most out of your online store?!
Mr. Redfern: "First of all, be sure to register for our Personal Shopper service and build your Personal Shopper Profile. It's easy and can be completed right on the website. Tell us about your budget, the type of clothes you prefer, and where you work and socialize, and we'll build a wardrobe based on your preferences. There is never an obligation to keep the wardrobe we build for you. Once we've gathered your personal profile you will receive the latest in styles from long-sleeve button downs, to polo shirts, mock turtle-necks, high-crew long-sleeve T-shirts, and more via the mail."

"Second, browse the jackets and slacks (our basics) featured in the Web store and get a feel for what you like. Feel free to ask any questions or inquire about custom options. Note that for big & tall customers, we can find the styles you need in the large size required. Our Web store is a secure commerce site, and your satisfaction is always 100% guaranteed. If you want to get started immediately, simply pick out the fashions you like and place an order with our shopping cart. The cart is available on all apparel pages, and you can make your purchase just by clicking on the "Add Selection to Cart" button and proceeding to the checkout area to complete your transaction."
