New Unwired World", by Charmed Technology. |
|
Charmed
Technology is putting on a worldwide fashion technology tour labeled
"The Brave New Unwired World", with appearances at Internet World trade
shows throughout Year 2000. The fashion show tour highlights the coming
age of wireless wearable Internet and electronic communication devices.
| what?
"wireless technology": cellular or other communication devices
such as phones and personal communicators that operate through microwaves
in the air and do not require network wires |
At Spring
2000 Internet World in Los Angeles, California, Charmed put on a spectaular
installation of "Brave New Wireless World" through a schedule of shows over
two days. The fashion shows drew large crowds from the technology industry
attendees, partly because they were so well produced (by founder Alex Lightman),
and partly because the apparel was also breathtaking.
Models wore skin-tight microfiber dresses, bandeau tops with glittering
silver and gold colors, and long, dance dresses made from fabrics that looked
like liquid plastic.
