Oscars
2001 ... The
73rd Academy Awards from the Shrine Auditorium Jennifer
Lopez at the 2001 Academy Awards (does the phrase "fashion spectacle"
come to mind?)...
Marcia
Gay Harden (Pollock) wins Best Supporting Actress at the
Oscars,
and has the best quote from the red carpet, "Dad, I never realized
that you and the boys were so into haute couture in the 7th Fleet."
Marcia was dashing in a red Randolph
Duke gown.
Michelle Yeow (yes, a former Bond girl) stole the fireworks (Spring trends
- hint, hint!) with a rhinestone studded dress from designer Bonnie
Chang. Crouching Tiger took Best Cinematography and Best
Foreign Film, but there was an international flair to the entire Oscars
evening.
Sigourney Weaver sported another Spring 2001 trend, a red shoulder corsage
on a John
Galiano one shoulder design.
