Anime Inspired Kayo Wins Best Fashion Designer of 2008 San Francisco Fashion Awards

©Metrofashion, July 2008- On a sparkling bright Sunday afternoon by the pool at the Phoenix Hotel in Downtown San Francisco, Japanese artist Kayo accepts the award for Best Fashion Designer in the San Francisco Fashion Awards.

Kayo Aiba was selected by the San Francisco fashion community from a group of emerging designers.

Kayo has shown in New York and San Francisco. She received an award in advertising from the Society of New York Illustrators for her anime cartoon work for cosmetics brand Estee Lauder.

She followed up with a fashion line of anime clothing based on the heroines of anime cartoon artwork and the desire for fashion buyers to "bridge the gap between the non-reality and the reality."

Designer Kayo is now part of the fashion collective "Pandora's Trunk" located on the famous Haight Street in San Francisco.
