Show Kicks Off Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Fall 2009 New York
 The
Heart Truth Campaign kicked off Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Fall 2009 New
York with its Red Dress Collection runway show, featuring celebrity models
of all ages wearing designer dresses in shades of crimson red. The show
is popular with the New York fashion crowd as it brings together fashion
icons from the entertainment world, from athletics and journalism, and more.

Walking in the fashion show were actresses Amanda Bynes, Susan Lucci, Samantha
Harris, Vivica Fox, and Natasha Henstridge, athletes Amanda Beard and Kristi
Yamaguchi, and singer Hilary Duff, as well as television news anchor Katie
Couric. Kristi Yamaguchi wore a royal red satin gown by Vera Wang. Amanda
Bynes wore a precious sweetheart cocktail Swarovski dress while Samantha
Harris showed off the trendy one shoulder look created by David Meister.
And Tori Spelling was charming in a layered red and black Betsey Johnson
dress with lace pointelle.
New York Fashion Week Fall Winter 2009 2010 will feature over 70 designer
fashion shows in venues throughout New York City, including the lovely Jill
Stuart show at the New York Public Library. Most catwalk shows will be held
at the Bryant Park Tents, running Friday, February 13th through Friday,
February 20th. Though the tone may be reserved due to the prevailing economic
environment, the fashion designer community is pushing forward with rising
talents like Peter Som and Alexandre Herchcovitch.
