Television network TLC presents a new fashion series based on the story of famous swimsuit designer Ashley Paige and her efforts to build her fashion label business. The show is called Ashley Page: Bikini or Bust and airs Fridays at 10:00PM.

Season 1 Episode 6 Summary: Woman's Best Friend. Facing a $5,000 vet bill, Ashley decides to hold a "Bikini Dog-Wash" to raise money.

In this episode Ashley needs to raise money to pay her veterinarian bill for the dog adoption non-profit. Some of the dogs Ashley has taken in and placed for adoption have required medical treatments and the vet has been generous enough to do this for Ashley on credit.

So she partners with her friend June to to put on a "Bikini Dog Wash" event at a hotel on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. She recruits her staff to where bikinis (or something close) and they throw the dog wash event on a sunny Los Angeles day.

None of this has anything to do with the Ashley Paige swimsuit fashion design business except maybe the networking. But Ashley has already pointed out that her dog non-profit effort is a high priority for her personally so she is committed.

Things go awry as they often do with charity events and Ashley ends up worse off financially.

The Fashion Meanwhile, Juan her seamster has created doggy scarves for the dogs at the wash event and the scarves turn out to be a hit. Ashley gets the bright idea to consider a new line of Ashley Paige products based on the dog scarves. Guess there is some fashion after all.
