Metrofashion.com- It was a somber fashion crowd at the Golden
Globes, even with the normal party atmosphere that prevails. Most
of the guys wore black suits in one form or another, and the women
were generally dressy, if not entirely formal.
The fashion winners were Halle Barry, in a brown lace and sheer gown,
Jennifer Garner (from the hit new television spy drama, Alias),
in a long red sheath dress with three-foot train from Vera Wang, Kim
Catrall in an apricot jersey dress with open shoulders, and the whole
Moulin Rouge ensemble, including Nicole Kidman, in a bustier dress
from Yves Saint Laurent, Ewan MacGregor, in an all black ensemble,
and the film itself, since so many of the Globe attendees appear to
have taken their fashion inspiration from the movie. It was an evening
of gypsy looks, sparkling jewels, and complimentary male companions.
